Airsoft Armory LiPo Battery Safety Agreement
By Purchasing batteries from Airsoft Armory I agree to this agreement, I acknowledge and I agree to the following detailed safety requirements and responsibilities for handling, charging, using, and disposing of Airsoft Armory LiPo and NiMH batteries:
This form is designed to ensure that customers understand and acknowledge the safety requirements and responsibilities associated with handling, charging, using, and disposing of Airsoft Armory LiPo and NiMH batteries. By completing this form, you confirm that you have read and agree to adhere to the specified guidelines, accept full responsibility for the batteries, and waive liability for any potential damages or accidents.
1. Inspection and Responsibility
-
Inspection: You have thoroughly inspected the battery and confirm it is free and clear of any defects, including physical damage, deformation, or leakage.
-
Responsibility: You take full responsibility for the Airsoft Armory batteries and acknowledge that Airsoft Armory is not liable for any damages the batteries may cause, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or environmental harm.
2. Proper Charging and Usage
-
Charging Current: You agree to charge the battery with a current less than the maximum specified in the product specifications. Charging with higher current than recommended may cause damage to the battery's electrical, mechanical, and safety performance, potentially leading to heat generation or leakage.
-
Charging Voltage: You will charge the battery at a voltage less than the specified maximum (4.2V per cell). Charging beyond 4.25V is strictly prohibited as it may cause damage to the battery's performance and safety, leading to heat generation or leakage.
-
Charging Temperature: You will charge the battery within the temperature range of 10°C to 45°C as specified in the product specifications.
-
Reverse Charging: You will not reverse charge the battery. Correct polarity must be confirmed before wiring. Reverse charging may cause damage to the battery, leading to degradation of performance, safety issues, heat generation, or leakage.
-
Discharging Current: You will discharge the battery at a current less than the maximum specified in the product specifications. High discharging current may significantly reduce the battery's capacity or cause overheating.
-
Discharging Temperature: You will discharge the battery within the temperature range of -20°C to 60°C as specified in the product specifications.
-
Over-Discharging: You will prevent over-discharging by periodically charging the battery to maintain a voltage between 3.6V and 3.9V. Over-discharging may cause loss of performance, characteristics, or battery functions. The charger must be equipped with a device to prevent further discharging beyond the cut-off voltage specified in the product specifications.
3. Storage and Maintenance
-
Storage Conditions: You will store the battery within the environmental conditions of -10°C to 45°C. For long-term storage (over 3 months), the recommended conditions are 23±5°C and 65±20% RH. The voltage for long-term storage should be maintained between 3.6V and 3.9V.
-
Handling: You will handle the battery carefully to avoid damage to the soft aluminum packing foil. This includes avoiding contact with sharp edges, trimming nails or wearing gloves, cleaning the worktable, and avoiding bending or folding the sealing edge.
-
Mechanical Protection: You will ensure the battery pack has sufficient strength and is protected from mechanical shock. No sharp edge components should be inside the pack containing the battery.
4. Safety Precautions
-
Prohibition of Disassembly: You will not disassemble the battery as it may cause internal short circuits, gassing, firing, or other problems. If electrolyte comes into contact with skin or eyes, you will flush immediately with fresh water and seek medical advice.
-
Fire Safety: You will not incinerate or dispose of the battery in a fire. This may cause firing of the cells, which is very dangerous and prohibited.
-
Liquid Exposure: You will avoid soaking the battery with liquids such as water, seawater, soft drinks, juices, coffee, or others.
-
Damaged Battery: You will not use damaged batteries. If any abnormal features are found, such as damage to the plastic envelope, deformation, smell of electrolyte, or leakage, the battery will not be used and will be placed away from fire.
5. Disposal
-
Proper Disposal: You agree to dispose of the battery properly according to local regulations and guidelines. This includes not incinerating the battery and ensuring it is not exposed to liquids.
By Buying batteries from Airsoft Armory LLC you acknowledge and agree that you have read and understand the detailed safety requirements and agree to adhere to them.
